This time around the whole world has been faced with an unprecedented pandemic of Coronavirus. With over 100 people infected by Coronavirus infected in Mumbai itself, there is a dire need of support across the sectors. With the city preparing for a deluge of cases in the times to come, there has been a lack of equipment for our frontline healthcare workers which includes doctors, nurses, paramedics and other healthcare professionals. At the same time, because of the lockdown, thousands of daily wage workers and slum dwellers have been left handicapped and have survival at stake, if not provided with adequate supply of food stuff.
Shree Gusayanji Charitable Trust in association with Grameen Pragati Foundation has undertaken lead to provide support for catering to both the needs.
Shree Gusayanji Charitable Trust, under the guidance of Pujyapad Shree Nikunjalata Betiji, has always been on the forefront as and when disasters have struck India supporting the needy irrespective of caste, creed, religion and demographics for over 20 years. Grameen Pragati Foundation under the leadership of Dr Amarendra Sahoo (ex RD RBI) has strong implementation focus for any social welfare projects and has recently worked very closely for the benefit of the flood struck population at Poladpur, Raigad.
The project is directed towards raising donations to support the needs of the decision makers as well as the affected population. Items that would be provided are as follows:
