Grameen Pragati Foundation (GPF) is the official partner in the “Saksham Gruhini” Project. The project aims at making self-reliant homemakers with the aim of empowering women and enhancing their livelihood.

Activities: GPF will provide the needed funds to purchase refurbished sewing machines. The project is outlined to take place in Worli Koliwada, Mumbai. GPF will also provide Marketing and Sales support of the manufactured finished goods.

Impact/Outcome: The trained women will be straight away working on the sewing machines. The trained women will be considered as masters and will simultaneously impart training to the unskilled women.
