UN SDGs

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs, also appertained to as the Global Goals) are 17 pretensions with 169 targets that all the UN Member States have agreed to achieve by the year 2030. The main vision is to create a world which is free from poverty, hunger and disease.

They began a vision for a world free from poverty, hunger, and complaint. Health has a central place in SDG 3 “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all periods”, sustained by the 13 targets that cover a wide diapason of WHO’s work. Nearly all the 16 targets are associated with health or their achievement will contribute to health indirectly. The SDGs aim to be applicable to all countries – poor, rich, and middle-income – to promote prosperity while tackling climate change and protecting the environment. They have a robust focus in perfecting equity to satisfy and meet the needs of women, children, and underprivileged populations especially so that “no one is left behind”.

This docket builds on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which were 8 pretensions that the UN Member States inked in September 2000 to realize targets to combat poverty, hunger, complaint, ignorance, environmental declination, and demarcation against women by 2015.

This agenda was built on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which included 8 major goals that the UN Member States had signed in September 2000 to achieve targets to combat poverty, hunger, disease, illiteracy, environmental degradation and discrimination against women by 2015.
